Young companies present themselves in the brand new start-up area

NUFAM is constantly developing. In 2025, young companies can present themselves at the Start-up joint stand.

According to the German government, 1,384 new start-ups were founded in Germany in the first half of 2024. This means that around 522,000 people are currently working in and for start-ups.

According to the Kassel-Marburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, start-ups are ‘a comparatively new description of young, innovative and growth-oriented companies’. Start-ups are characterised by their innovativeness. They impress with the novelty of their product, market or business model, for example, or with the high scalability of their business model.

Four phases of a start-up

A start-up usually goes through four phases:

> the seed phase (pre-establishment phase, in which the business model is developed, refined and implemented on a trial basis in order to assess its feasibility on the market),

> the start-up phase (establishment of the company, completion and market launch of the business idea)

> emerging growth (growth phase with, ideally, rapid market penetration through targeted development of sales)

> and expansion (further development of the sales structure through diversification of products and services).

NUFAM, which takes place from 25 to 28 September 2025, offers such companies the opportunity to present themselves perfectly in an optimal industry environment for the first time.

Start-up Area at NUFAM

‘In the Start-up Area, we offer young companies an attractive and affordable complete package to create the ideal basis for customer relations and investment partnerships over four days of the trade fair. Start-ups receive a high-quality stand. The trade fair appearance is integrated into a strong communication package with a wide range of services and excellent press work,’ says Jochen Bortfeld, Project Manager of NUFAM. He is convinced that the start-up area at NUFAM is the ideal showcase for young, innovative companies in the automotive sector to meet established market players.
